Cables ("the App") is a mobile application provided by its developer ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the App.

This Privacy Policy applies primarily to the Cables mobile application. Our website, cables.app, is used to provide information, support, and legal documents, and may process limited technical information such as server logs and basic website analytics.

  • Apple Sign In and Google Sign In when you choose those login methods
  • Convex for backend services, database storage, and file storage
  • PostHog for error tracking and limited diagnostics
  • Vercel for website hosting and basic website analytics

These providers may process information according to our instructions, their own terms, and their privacy policies. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Analytics, Diagnostics, and Tracking

We use PostHog for error tracking and limited diagnostics so we can understand and fix crashes, errors, and technical issues. Diagnostic events may include technical context such as device information, app version, operating system, error details, logs, IP address, and request metadata.

We do not use your information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

6. App Store Privacy Disclosure Alignment

For App Store privacy disclosure purposes, the App may collect and process:

  • Contact information, such as email address
  • User content and activity data you choose to store in the App
  • Identifiers and account information used for authentication
  • Usage data, diagnostics, crash reports, and error logs

When you delete your account, we begin processing the deletion request and may delete, de-identify, or restrict access to associated personal information and user content, unless we need to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Backup copies and service logs may persist for a limited period before automatic deletion.

We otherwise retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
